ReplyDeleteMay I humbly try to translate this great song into English?
ReplyDeleteMan created Religions
Religions created gods
Man Religions and gods
Together, shared land and minds
By becoming Hindu,Muslim and Christians
We became strangers
India became lunatic asylum
Thousands and thousands of
Human hearts became
Houses of weapons
God dies in the street
And the devil grins
Where is the Truth?
Where is beauty?
And where is freedom?
Where is our blood-relations?
Where is eternal loves?
Where are those incarnations
That come in between
Thousand years of age at a time
Man dies in the street and the
Religions laughing at..
Good translation thanks

DeleteNo doubt, to a Hindu god is a Hindu-
ReplyDeleteOne poet has said: When Lord Krishna appeared teenies visualized in him (Cupid) the god of love and enemies visualized in him the god of death.
Similarly, to a Christian god is a Christian.
And to a Muslim he is a Muslim. That is the difference.
Moreover to a Hindu He is a King / Rama or Krishna.
Muslim Owner/ Allah /Creator
Christian Lord / Jesus / Christ.
Politician Ruler / Indra / Powerful
Religion Master / God / Supreme being.
But in ancient times, the Emperor was worshipped as god.
But Religion and Politics when mixed together born Satan.
The Holy Bible says, " God is Spirit "(John 4:24 ).
ReplyDelete"God is Love" (1 John:4:8 )
God's Spirit is the antonym of dog's spirit.
Psalmist says, "Deliver me from the power of the Sword, My precious life from the power of the dog (Satan)". Psalm 22:20
Further Bible says,
ReplyDelete" watchmen are blind,
They are all ignorant;
They are all dumb dogs,
They cannot bark;
Sleeping, lying down,
Loving to slumber.
Yes, they are greedy dogs
Which never have enough.
And they are shepherds
Who cannot understand;
They all look to their own way,
Every one for his own gain,
From his own territory.
" Come," ,one says, " I will bring wine,
And we will fill ourselves with intoxicating drink;
Tomorrow will be as today,
And much more abundant." Isaiah 56:10-12
NB}This was the Prophet, who Prophesied about the virgin birth of Lord Jesus Christ before His birth 600 years ago in B.C.

ReplyDelete20:13 If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death.
Deuteronomy 22:20-1 If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the girl’s virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house.
Exodus 35:2
For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.

Ephesians 5:22-24 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
Exodus 21:20-21 If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.
1 Peter 2:13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every authority instituted among men.
2:18 Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.
Leviticus 25:44-45
Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property.

All these religious texts were written by men, mostly disturbed over their wives whom they could not control,hence using religion and their invented God as a reason to enforce dictates favouring men.It is also strange that no woman has been deified, probably because all scriptures were written by men.
ReplyDeleteThe translator of this song ha shown love, justice and sincerity to the poet by using the appropriate words in their respective places while translation without losing a single word in the original song. This will contribute to our indian culture "Unity in diversity" . Very good song. Thanks.
